DBS Law Managing Director Rob Bhol and Head of PR Richard O’Brien are dusting off their PE kits for an intense physical challenge to raise awareness of road safety campaign. The pair both in their 40s will climb mount Snowdon in October in aid of Brake the charity that campaigns for speed restrictions to reduce the number of deaths on Britain’s roads.
Asked why they chose to climb up a mountain instead doing of a sponsored slim both men said they weren’t sure whose idea it was but they hoping for similar results either way.
Rob Bhol said, “Actually we wanted to do something symbolic of the challenge faced by Brake in trying to reduce road deaths. Speeding drivers kill and injure thousands every year in this country, we see it in the work we do representing crash victims. Sadly speeding does not yet carry the same stigma as drink driving. Brake has an uphill struggle to change attitudes to speeding and we are going to be wheezing and spluttering up a mountain to raise money for their campaign.”
Whilst providing a wide range of legal services DBS Law have a considerable amount of experience in dealing with the aftermath of road accidents. It was an increase in the number clients presenting with serious injuries resulting from collisions between pedestrians and speeding motorists that prompted the firm to become a corporate sponsor of Brake.
