Prince’s Trust team transform school pond for troubled kids

The young people on the Prince's Trust development programme sponsored by DBS Law have completed their community project in style.  Through hard work and hard fundraising the team transformed a recreation area at Coppice Junior School in Solihull.  They turned a jungle into a sanctuary for children with behavioural problems.

The twelve week course run by PT is designed to show unemployed youngsters from the West Midlands that far from being powerless they can achieve great things.  DBS Law funded the project as part of its community outreach programme DBS Heart.

Rob Bhol MD at DBS Law said: “We met the guys at the beginning of the course and they all had issues with self-esteem and with communication.  Having completed this task on behalf of their community they are as transformed as the garden they fixed at the school. They are filled with confidence and pride and justifiably so.  Anybody who has anything negative to say about young people today should have a chat with this team; they are brave, selfless and decent.  DBS Law is very proud to have helped them to discover” their potential.

The team are now off to spend two weeks on work placements before being unleashed onto an unsuspecting world.  “We wish them the best of luck,” said Rob.
