Naturalisation as a British citizen:
The British Nationality Act gives rise to circumstances where it is possible for an adult over the age of 18 to be naturalised as a British citizen. DBS Law can assist you with this and advise you of whether you are eligible to make an application and upon what basis. Please note that there are many ways in which an adult can be naturalised and strict criteria particularly in terms of time spent in the United Kingdom (lawfully or unlawfully) has to be met before the option can be approved.
If the application is successful and providing the Immigration Rules are satisfied, then you will be granted with a certificate of registration as a British citizen. You are then able to make an application for a British passport.
