Being separated from your child is an unbearable thought and one which is heartfelt by any parent. If you have a child abroad whom you would like to make an application for to enter the United Kingdom in line with the Immigration Rules, we can help. At DBS Law we will take detailed instructions from you and assess whether the requirements of the relevant law/authority is met and advise you as to whether you can proceed by making an application for your child.

Your child and their Guardian will be required to submit this application to an Entry Clearance Post or British High Commission Consulate. If you would like DBS Law to assist you upon your application, we will prepare an application bundle for you. In every case, we will prepare an extensive personalised cover letter which is to be submitted as part of your application along with supporting evidence for the application which will focus upon the strength of your relationship, highlighting how the Immigration Rules are met.

If the application is successful, the applicant will be granted leave to remain for a period not exceeding 27 months. Before the expiry of this visa, providing the Immigration Rules are satisfied, the applicant can make an application for further leave to remain as a child of a parent present and settled in the United Kingdom.
